What is BioPreferred?
The EcoLens is a certified BioPreferred product. This program, managed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), is focused on increasing the purchase and use of biobased products over traditional petroleum based plastics. Biobased Products are those derived from raw materials (plant-based materials and other renewable products from marine, agricultural, and forestry materials). By using Biobased Products, we reduce our nation’s reliance on petroleum and increase demand for renewable resources. In doing so, we are helping to reduce adverse environmental and health impacts in our community.
